A globally renowned supplier of PCB and IC substrate equipment and panel-level packaging solutions, SCHMID Group received a delisting notice from Nasdaq in November 2025 due to its failure to submit the 2024 annual report on time, with its stock price dropping 7.58% in the same week. However, the company's business operations have remained robust and well on track.

In 2025, driven by the explosive demand for AI server-related products, SCHMID Group secured total orders worth approximately 95 million euros (equivalent to RMB 0.784 billion). These orders were placed by leading PCB and IC substrate manufacturers across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, focusing on three core areas: the construction of high-layer HDI production lines for AI servers and HPC applications, the capacity expansion of circuit boards for AI servers to support global data center development, and the promotion of manufacturing reshoring of high-end PCB and IC substrates in Europe and the United States.

This achievement not only confirms the strong pulling effect of global AI computing infrastructure construction on upstream PCB equipment, but also reflects SCHMID Group’s technological barriers and customer stickiness in the high-end PCB equipment sector—even when facing setbacks in the capital market, high-quality products and precise market layout can still support the company to stabilize its business fundamentals.

Looking ahead to 2026, SCHMID Group has given a positive forecast, expecting its order volume to grow by about 20% compared with 2025. The growth drivers come from three aspects: the sustained demand for equipment brought by the expansion of circuit board production capacity in the Asian market, the recovery of the high-end electronic market and the obvious localization trend in Europe and the United States, as well as the enhanced product competitiveness driven by the upgrade of the InfinityLine product series, the improvement of panel-level packaging capabilities and the breakthrough in glass-based processing technology.

It is foreseeable that with the accelerated restructuring of the global semiconductor industry chain and the continuous expansion of downstream applications such as AI and data centers, equipment manufacturers with both technological advantages and global layout are expected to seize a larger market share amid industry reshuffling.

Founded in 1864, SCHMID Group is a high-tech enterprise spanning the electronics, photovoltaic, glass and energy system sectors, with more than 800 employees worldwide. It has established technology centers and manufacturing bases in Germany, Zhuhai (China) and other locations, along with sales and service centers across the globe. Since entering the PCB industry in 1964, the solutions it has developed for semiconductor substrates, PCBs and other electronic components have the characteristics of high technical level, cost-effectiveness and green sustainability.

Having experienced over a century of development, SCHMID Group has maintained business resilience amid capital market fluctuations. Its development path of deepening in the segmented track and continuous technological iteration also provides a reference model for manufacturing enterprises around the world.
